Saxon Defensionwerck Reiter-Regimenter in 1618

According to Defension-Ordung of 1613 the Saxon Defesionwerck was of 2 regiments of Lehnsreiterie (Ritterpferden) & 2 regiments of Fusswolk (Defensionier). Each mounted regiment was of 6 Cornets (companies), the first totaled 903 men, second - 690. In 1618 both regiments were combined into one under command of Oberst Wilhelm Milckau. It was of 12 coys. Each Reiter had a helmet, a cuirass, a cosaque, a sword & pistols. Companies had individual colors of cosaques:
