Saxon garrison of Thorn 7/17 Oct 1703

At the start of the siege in the end of April of 1703 the Saxon garrison of Thorn under Gen. Robel numbered ab. 6 000 men. By the capitulation on 4/14 October 1703 it reduced to 4 860 men, but only 1 665 stayed in files. The rest were sick or deserted.
