According to Elster's data Imperial army under Erzherzog Leopold in Bohemia in campaign of 1640 had paper strength of 38,800 men excl. Artillery. There are two Piccolomini Reiter regiments in the list. The Alt-Piccolomini was of 12 coys, 801 men (incl. 161 dismounted). The Jung-Piccolomini was of 10 coys, 775 men (incl. 154 dismounted)
