Hanoverian troops on Venetian service, 1685

On 13 December of 1684 Ernst August of Brunswick-Luneburg agreed to provide a 2,400 strong Corps on Venetian service. It consisted of 3 regiments under command of Oberst Hermann Philipp von Ohr (Gohr) as a Brigadier (actual strength on 12 Feb. 1685):
- Prinz Maximilian Wilhelm of Brunswick-Luneburg, 868
- General-Lieutenant v. Bodewils (commanding officer Oberstlieutenant St. Andree), 870
- Oberst H.P. von Oher, 860
Each regiment was of 10 coys. In 1685 they participated in the siege of Koron (23 June - 11 August 1685, link) & the battle of Kalamata (14 Sept. 1685, link). Hanoverians stayed on Venetian service till 1688 & their further development I'll describe soon.
