But as the figures in "Sveriges krig" are from early July and include everybody (even the sick and the absent) it's most likely that the figure during the siege was somewhat lower.Bengt Nilssonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15416057529387059704noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1007632461892109454.post-38009345982483185022013-03-16T19:24:33.359+04:002013-03-16T19:24:33.359+04:00Oleg Kurbatov told me that he didn't have acce...Oleg Kurbatov told me that he didn't have access to Rullors, & took the data about Swedish troops at Tikhwin from 1 Band of "Sveriges krig 1611-1632"Gromoboyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14513137327707308631noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1007632461892109454.post-80863410345166134822013-03-15T14:22:40.766+04:002013-03-15T14:22:40.766+04:00Thanks for sharing guys! Their source (apart from Widekindi) are some letters to the King from Jacob de la Gardie. I believe they are preserved as drafts in the University Library in Tartu.

This work only states that Mönnichhoven's/Monickhouen's regiment was ill disciplined, suffered heavily in a Russian sally and that most of the soldiers in that regiment deserted.Bengt Nilssonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15416057529387059704noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1007632461892109454.post-60523081165152801102013-03-14T16:33:19.088+04:002013-03-14T16:33:19.088+04:00Курбатов:

The latest & the most "military-oriented" is a book by Oleg Kurbatov. It seems to me, that it's available online. I will try to find. From Swedish side I know only a book by Johan Widekindi. There are 3 editions:

- in 1671 in Swedish «Thet svenska i Ryssland tijo åhrs krijgs historie»

- in 1672 in Latin "Historia belli Sveco-Moscovitici decennalis, quod junctis armis cum Magno Moscorum Duce Johan: Basilio Svischio, primum adversus Rebelles & Lithuanos, mox Polonos, tandem data causa contra ipsos Moscovitos, auspiciis Regum Sveciæ Caroli IX, et Gustavi Adolphi ductu Jacobi de la Gardie, varia fortuna ab Anno seculi hujus Septimo, in decimum septimum gestum, & ardua pace compositum est, totidem Libris distincta

- in 2000 the book was translated & published in Russian. This edition is available on-line here:
http://www.vostlit.info/haupt-Dateien/index-Dateien/V.phtml?id=2043
see "ВИДЕКИНД"

The book by Kurbatov includes detailed BO's from both sides.
